Journal of Women's Studies and Research in Iran and Muslim Countries!

Welcome to the Farzaneh Journal website

Recognizing the serious necessity of establishing a forum for the
sound exchange of views as a prerequisite for the advancement of
Women's Studies in Iran and the Middle East, Farzaneh enters the realm
of academic research and women's studies. As a bilingual quarterly
journal, Farzaneh aims to create a pertinent atmosphere for debate
and discourse on interdisciplinary subjects related to women.

It is well known that the present state of affairs has resulted in
misrepresentations of Muslim and Iranian woman, thus constructive
discourse can clarify many obscure points and misconceptions
existing between nations and cultures at the global level. This web
edition of Farzaneh Journal aims to share viewpoints and research
from Iran on women's issues with the international community. While
this website is in English only at present, we do hope to offer the Persian
language articles on the web at some later date.

The Editional Board of Farzaneh welcomes contributions from scholars
and researchers from all disciplines which may be related to women's
issues. Original scientific works, or sufficiently deliberated viewpoints,
constitute the framework of our journal.
